Experience East Africa was started to give people of all ages the chance to have a trip of a lifetime. Focusing on Kilimanjaro Climbs, Safari and Orphanage & Mission work, we can tailor make East Africa trips to suit the needs of individuals down to the very finest of details. With the company’s main base of operation in East Africa being Arusha, Tanzania, we are perfectly situated within driving distance of Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Serengeti National Park, Ngorogoro National Park, Lake Manyara and Tarangere National Park. Our Orphanage & Mission work takes place in and around Arusha itself.
Although we are occasionally able to accommodate individuals and small groups, we specialise more in running trips for groups that are 8+. This enables large groups, personal trainers and churches to “create their own trip” from the components we offer – just give us a call or send us an email enquiry with the dates you’d like your trip to take place and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours!
All our staff are very experienced in East Africa and we guarantee all of our enthusiastic Tour Leaders will ensure you really do have the trip of a lifetime! Please do check out EEA TV, our Gallery and the various trips we offer all right here on the website and who knows... maybe you’ll be ready to Experience East Africa!!- Reviews

“Africa was 100% the best experience I’ve ever had in my life! Spending 10 days with some awesome company, half way around the world was just outstanding! Although it was kind of difficult and upsetting in some places we visited, it was a massive eye opener for me personally and despite having so much less than us, everyone was so happy and so full of joy! I’m already looking forward to going back out there in 2019!!”
Connah Evans , February 2019“I first climbed Kilimanjaro back in 2009 and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. So when Lawrie asked me if I’d be up for leading more expeditions to the top of the mountain I was super excited! Thankfully we’ve got a 100% summit success rate so far and I for one am hoping it stays that way. And having already chalked off Everest Base Camp since my last climb I’m already thinking about the next journey to the top of Africa!”
Rhian Adams, EEA Tour Leader“I’ve been thrilled to work with Lawrie and the EEA team on the transport and safari elements of the trips, and I’m glad that my 30 years of experience in the East African tourist industry is helping EEA deliver top class trips!”
Levis Lewis, EEA’s East African Consultant“The whole trip was just amazing, much more than I expected, met some great people and we made it to the top of the world’s highest free standing mountain! What an adventure!” Heather Jordan-Carter, Kilimanjaro 2016 “The whole trip was just amazing, much more than I expected, met some great people and we made it to the top of the world’s highest free standing mountain! What an adventure!”
Heather Jordan-Carter, Kilimanjaro 2016“Seeing the kids cry when we left and grab us so tight when we hugged them was tough. They have to live their life there while we come back to our homes here, but the feeling you get when you do something that changes their lives is just amazing!”
Matthew Smith, Orphanages & Missions Trip 2015“What an absolutely incredible trip! The safari was sensational, the icing on the cake. Lions, cheetah, elephants, zebra, ostrich, giraffe, warthogs, baboons… you name it, we saw it!!”
James Hall, Bethany Baptist Church, Caldicot“Africa is in my heart and now having the opportunity to lead trips for young people in the UK to have the same experience that I did for the first time back in 2009 is amazing… Bring on February 2019!!”
Chelsea Davies, Tour Leader“I’ve been to Tanzania four times now, twice with Experience East Africa, and the more I go the more I fall in love with the place and the people! Seeing the incredible need has given me real perspective on life and I can’t wait to go back already!”
Caitlin Clarke, Orphanages & Mission Trip 2017“Meeting all the amazing and inspirational children, teachers and carers in the schools and orphanages was incredible. I feel as if Africa has changed me as a person, and the experience has impacted my life massively! The most heart-hitting moment was visiting Huruma Children’s Orphanage, hearing stories about how some of the children had been left on a rubbish tip, before being brought into the home to be looked after. I honestly can’t put into words how heart breaking it was to hear, but knowing that they are safe and healthy in a home with people who care and love them is the best feeling in the world.”
Rhiannon Jeffrey, Ferndale Community School 6th Form Trip“Climbing Kilimanjaro is not for the faint hearted as I found out , But it was definitely worth the struggle because I don’t come across many other people in my day-to-day life that have climbed onto the roof top of Africa! It was on my bucket list and I’m pleased to say that I’ve chalked it off. I’m really grateful to Rhian and to Lawrie for running and organising such a great Trip!”
Ollie Turton, Personal Trainer & Fitness Specialist Dubai“Having your children travel half way across world to a third world country is a concern for any parent, but knowing Darcy was in very capable hands of the Experience East Africa team completely put our minds at ease. The trip was organised with precision, with parents kept fully informed throughout: so much so, we almost felt part of the trip via the daily updates, including videos and lots of photos, Darcy has returned from her African adventure as a more self-assured, confident and motivated person, The whole experience including tears of sadness and joy and what she saw and experienced, has had a very positive impact on her life. Her stories indicate a level of life experience that she would never have been exposed to had she not signed up to go. The work you did and continue to do out there is fantastic! Thank you for everything!”
Lisa Warden-Roles, Mum to Darcy Orphanages & Mission Trip 2017“Day 5 – SUMMIT!!! WE DID IT!!!! So proud of the grit and determination that everyone found deep within. The support and encouragement that everyone gave was incredible, especially Rhian, our awesome tour leader! So happy!!!!”
Amber Griffiths, Dubai“I was a bit unsure about going to Tanzania from a safety point of view and so were my family & friends. But Lawrie and the team took care of everything! The flights were great, the accommodation was incredible and I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone because it’s been one of the best experiences of my life!”
Lauren Smith, Wales, UK“I didn’t get to see any big cats on my first safari experience so I told Lawrie that I HAD to see some this time around, and thankfully he didn’t let me down! I was in a jeep with Levis’s craziest safari guide and at one point we were literally 5 metres away from a huge male lion in Tarangire!”
